Suburban Neighborhood in Broomfield, Colorado
Broomfield County 80020
Country Estates, located in Broomfield, offers a serene and picturesque living experience without a long commute to Boulder or Denver. Nestled among rolling hills and open spaces, this neighborhood provides great schools and tranquil scenery with the convenience of urban amenities.
Homes are in established subdivisions, with wide, walkable streets and well-maintained sidewalks shaded by mature trees. Here, you can see the Rocky Mountains from your deck. The median home price in Country Estates is $950,000, with most containing four to six bedrooms. These contemporary properties often include stone facades, updated kitchens, modern interiors, large windows that let in natural light and backyards with enough room to toss a ball back and forth. Throughout the neighborhood, you’ll find walking trails and access to open space. According to Carol Powers, a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Realty who used to live in the area for over 20 years, “The neighborhood is nice because it doesn’t have any HOA fees. It’s also a more established neighborhood that’s been around for about twenty years, so there are mature trees, and the taxes are reasonable compared to newer developments or metro districts.”
Students here are zoned for the Boulder Valley School District and can attend Aspen Creek K-8 School before finishing their academic journey at Broomfield High School. Niche gives both schools an A-minus rating. The district has a strong academic reputation, with one of the most comprehensive academic programs in the state. The high school offers nearly 20 Advanced Placement classes that are available to students across grade levels. Powers, who raised her family in Broomfield, says, “Broomfield has two school districts. People move to Country Estates so their kids can attend the Boulder Valley School District. It’s important to families because it’s one of the best districts in Colorado.”
After school, take the kids to Country Estates Park, located within the neighborhood’s residential streets. Watch your little ones chase each other around the playground while you sit shaded by the picnic pavilion. The park also includes an open grass area and paved walking trails. Bordering the neighborhood to the west is Ruth Roberts Preserve, an arid 5.8-mile loop with unobstructed views of the Rocky Mountains in the backdrop. There aren’t any restrooms or drinking fountains along the hike, so prepare appropriately. Also close by is Eagle Trace Golf Club, where, surrounded by cottonwood trees, you can play a round on the course, which includes five large lakes and 65 sand bunkers. There’s also a clubhouse with a full-service bar, banquet room and pavilion on the lake.
Travel about 5 miles to the south, further into Broomfield, and you’ll see an array of commercial accessibility. Near entrances to US Route 287, find everything you need—gas stations, Walgreens pharmacy, McDonald’s, Starbucks, King Soopers grocery store and more. 3 miles to the west of the neighborhood, on West 144th Avenue, you can also get groceries at Safeway. Grab dinner at Truly Asia, a Chinese restaurant on Nickel Street that locals love for its inviting atmosphere and authentic food. For dessert, head to Good Life Baking, a cookie and scone shop that prides itself on serving healthier alternatives. To the west, about 6 miles, is FlatIron Crossing, a shopping mall with more than 200 specialty retailers and a variety of restaurants.
Many residents of Country Estates work right in Broomfield, where several corporations have their headquarters, including Vail Resorts, Ball and Noodles & Company. Locals can also commute to Boulder, which is 15 miles to the northwest, or Denver, 20 miles to the south. Good Samaritan Medical Center, just north of the neighborhood, is also a major employer. With access to major metropolitan areas, an abundance of commercial amenities and great schools, Country Estates ensures residents have everything they need.
