The neighborhood is served by Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools, which earns an overall rating of A-plus from Niche. “The Chapel Hill school system has always had a great reputation,” Hussey says. Students may attend Morris Grove Elementary and McDougle Middle, rated A on Niche, and Chapel Hill High School, rated A-plus. In 2021, Chapel Hill High completed an extensive renovation, which included two new buildings. The high school’s soccer teams have a legacy of state championship wins. The surrounding area is known for many highly regarded institutions of higher learning, including The University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill, Duke University and North Carolina State University.

A homebuyer was driving through the neighborhood with his son, past some kids playing there, and the son asked, ‘Can we stop so I can go play with them?’” A short drive outside Lake Hogan Farms, Homestead Park includes a skate park and an indoor pool. Carolina North Forest encompasses 750 acres of wooded hiking trails.
