Edinburgh is a newer planned community in Great Bridge
Edinburgh is newer, planned community in the Great Bridge section of Chesapeake offering single-family homes close to shopping centers. While some homes in the area were built in the mid-1900s, Edinburgh has seen most of its development take place in the past 25 years. Forests and farmland make up most of the space between planned communities and secluded suburbs. “It’s a really beautiful area and it’s seen a lot of growth,” says Lina Mercer, owner of the Lina Mercer Real Estate Group, who grew up and still lives in the area.
