Deerfield is part of Chicago’s North Shore
The Chicago suburb of Deerfield is among the communities in the North Shore area, featuring many affluent suburbs. “Deerfield is lumped into it, even though there isn’t any lakefront property here,” says Beth Alberts, a broker with Compass with about 15 years of experience. The Briarwood neighborhood in Deerfield fits the bill of the North Shore with multi-million-dollar homes but has plenty well below that mark. “The neighborhood is full of families and young kids,” she adds. That’s because people seek out the area for the highly-rated schools.
