Norwoodville’s home styles include cottages, bungalows, ranch-styles and Colonial Revival properties from the 1905s and onward. Area listing prices can run from $100,000 to about $250,000, and the yards are usually half an acre in size, but can go up to 5 acres. Homebuyers who have properties in flood zones may be required to purchase flood insurance.

Additionally, the site supervisor also shares that the community is very tight-knit, and the center offers free lunch to senior citizens on weekdays and evening meals to all community members three times a week. North Side Public Library also organizes a variety of adult and senior programs, including gardening and seed exchange events, recipe and cooking workshops, table pool and tai chi lessons and crafting fun.

Copper Creek Lake Park is a popular spot for fishing and Birdland Park has spots for bird watching. Bright Grandview Golf Course is also nearby for tee times.

Many area restaurants are along East Euclid Avenue, including Eastside Eddie’s Neighborhood Bar and Grill, a barbeque eatery serving classic tenderloin and featuring live performances on select nights. Burger Shed Restaurant is a popular hamburger joint with bacon jam and bread pudding. B-Bop's, another local chain fast food stand, has hearty classic wraps and soft-serve ice cream. Brass Armadillo Antique Mall is about 4 miles to the west offering antiques and repurposed home goods. Walmart is 3 miles east in neighboring Altoona.
