A small-town Mon Valley pocket
About 11 miles southeast of Pittsburgh, Dravosburg is a small community located by the Monongahela River. This Allegheny County borough was once an industrial town near multiple coal mines. Today, the narrow streets of this little community are full of character and historic charm. “Dravosburg has a steel-town feel,” says Kim Stotlemyer, a local Realtor with Coldwell Banker Realty. “It was an industrial town, so it’s small and everyone knows everyone. There are a couple of local shops — not much for retail, it’s mostly residential — but West Mifflin is right there, so people can shop there.”
