About East Hanover, NJ

About East Hanover, NJ

The township of East Hanover is a small suburban enclave bordered by Interstate 280 to the north, and the Troy Meadows wetlands, a large freshwater marsh, to the west. At 25 miles from New York City, East Hanover has proven to be an attractive area for corporate offices like Novartis and those looking for large residential homes. "Nobody wants to leave East Hanover once you're here," says Gloria LaForgia, a sales agent for Weichert Realtors and team lead of the Gloria LaForgia Real Estate Team who has lived in East Hanover since 1988. "It's a very family-oriented area. Whoever moves here stays a long time."

Variety of housing styles, but low inventory

While housing styles offer some variety, inventory in general in East Hanover is scarce. In the older section of the neighborhood split-level, bi-level and ranch-style homes can be found, and newer residential streets are dotted with colonials. A smaller 1950s-era ranch house can cost $700,000. Larger colonial or split-level homes can run $750,000 to $820,000. Brand new homes can go for more than $1 million. A few townhouses, such as those near the Pinch Brook Golf Course, can be found in the $700,000 range.

Joseph G. Lurker Park is the community's gathering spot. "There are a lot of activities for families during the year," LaForgia says. The annual May carnival features numerous rides as well as festival food classics like funnel cakes and fried Oreos.

Lurker Park plus Troy Meadows wetlands

Agent Spotlight

Angel Nolan
(973) 490-4069
My journey in real estate has been fueled by the love and inspiration I've received from my four wonderful children, who have been my constant motivation over the past 30 years. Now that they have grown and are pursuing their own paths, that same fierce love and dedication carry over into my professional life.

Throughout my career, I've embraced diverse roles that have shaped me into the agent I am today. From owning a traveling book sales business to founding a thriving daycare and preschool for 250 families, to empowering women through three Curves clubs, to being an office manager and business development professional for an eye care specialist, I've had the privilege of wearing many hats.

Through these experiences, I've discovered two qualities that have consistently defined my approach: an unwavering work ethic and a genuine commitment to putting my clients first. Caring for others has always been the most rewarding part of any job for me. Whether it's nurturing my own family, supporting families who entrusted me with their childcare, empowering women to prioritize their health, or showing compassion to patients in need, I've always gone the extra mile. This is something I take great pride in, and it's what fosters a deep bond with my clients, leading to organic growth through word of mouth. To me, my clients are like family.

My journey into real estate officially began in 2004. As your real estate agent, I bring with me the same qualities that have made me a successful entrepreneur and business owner: an unmatched work ethic, an attentive ear to your needs, and a heartfelt personal touch. Guiding you through the entire process, from start to finish, is my commitment because, to me, success is synonymous with doing right by you.

I can't wait to be a part of your real estate journey, making it as smooth and enjoyable as possible. Let's take this step together and achieve your dreams.
