Palm trees and lakeside living 12 miles from downtown Fort Myers
In the Reflection Isles and Renaissance, palm-lined entryways and glassy lakes welcome residents home. “Reflection Isles is a hidden gem. You cannot tell looking down the road half a mile that there’s a community in there,” explains Craig Allenbaugh of CoastalEdge Real Estate, a Realtor with several home sales in the neighborhood and a former resident of Reflection Isles. With less than 850 homes across the two communities, the neighborhood maintains a cozy atmosphere that feels separated from the hustle and bustle of Fort Myers.
Condos, villas and houses in Reflection Isles and Renaissance
The neighborhood consists of two main subdivisions: Reflection Isles and Renaissance. While both offer amenity-rich living, each community provides a different way of life. “Renaissance is a full golf course community. The homes there are on exponentially larger pieces of property, and the average home size in Renaissance is 5,000 square feet,” says Allenbaugh. In Renaissance, two-bedroom condos begin at around $525,000, while single-family homes start closer to $900,000 and extend beyond $2 million for four-bedroom homes. On the other hand, Reflection Isles boasts a more affordable price point by comparison, with three-bedroom villas starting around $350,000 and single-family homes extending over $800,000 for five bedrooms. Monthly homeowners association costs apply to both communities, but, as Allenbaugh explains, “For the fees in Reflection Isles, you get a lot: internet, basic cable package, all your lawn and landscaping handled on the outside of your property and once-a-year mulching of all the planter beds.”

Private pools, recreational spaces and Six Mile Slough
Both gated communities in the neighborhood provide recreational opportunities for all ages. In Renaissance, residents can practice their swing on an 18-hole golf course or splash around in the resort-style swimming pool by simply taking a stroll or riding a golf course to the community clubhouse. Reflection Isles also includes several amenities, including “a nice little tot lot that butts up to the swimming pool, a fitness center, a single basketball court, sidewalks throughout the community so that everyone gets their exercise and tennis courts in the back,” Allenbaugh says. If looking to venture outside the community and delve into nature, Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve borders the communities along the west, inviting residents to explore miles of trails and boardwalks through wetlands.
There is a pool and tennis court as amenity by the Renaissance Golf CLub.

Whether living in Renaissance or Reflection Isles, entertainment is never in short supply. The social calendar for Renaissance is filled with tennis clinics, exercise courses and card games. In Reflection Isles, regularly scheduled food trucks liven things up, and the social committee hosts seasonal events to connect the community. If looking to branch out, residents can also venture about 2 miles away to Southern Fresh Farms and enjoy live music every Friday and Saturday evening.

Poolside dining, Rusty’s Raw Bar and national retailers
How far locals need to venture for dining and shopping depends on what they need and which community they live in. Residents in Renaissance can dine at the club café, grille or poolside bar, but there are plenty of other restaurants in the area for residents of either community to choose from. To the south of Renaissance, Rusty’s Raw Bar & Grill serves oysters and loaded tots, and Casa Blanca Modern Mexican Tequila Bar features carne asada and piña coladas. For shopping needs, Publix Super Market at the Shoppes of Fiddlesticks is located just across Daniels Parkway, less than a mile from home. Clothing shopping requires a slightly longer drive toward downtown Fort Myers, with Edison Mall and Page Field Commons about 10 miles away.

Ramps to I-75 right in the neighborhood
Because Reflection Isles and Renaissance are gated communities, the nearest bus stops are along Daniels Parkway, making public transit a lesser-used mode of transportation. Most residents take advantage of the ramp to Interstate 75 in the community and drive less than 12 miles to downtown Fort Myers or less than 10 miles to the Southwest Florida International Airport. For more local travel, Daniels Parkway connects to Gulf Coast Medical Center and JetBlue Park in less than 5 miles.
