A mix of the prairie and the city

In the northern section of the West Meadowbrook neighborhood lies the Tandy Hills Natural Area, a 220-acre nature preserve that is full of wildlife indigenous to Fort Worth and untouched by developers. While this beautiful stretch of prairie land draws many people to the area, outside this protected habitat, locals will find residential streets lined with various unique homes built across nearly a century of development. About 3 miles east of Fort Worth proper, this small neighborhood is a convenient place to land for anyone seeking proximity to the city's center while not giving up on natural scenery.
