Relaxed Fremont community with suburban allure and proximity to Silicon Valley

Kimber-Gomes is a highly residential neighborhood in Fremont, in the more secluded hillside that borders Vargas Plateau Regional Park. It has well-kept housing, clean streetscapes and proximity to the Bay Area and commuter-friendly routes to Silicon Valley. “We raised our kids here and really enjoyed it. It’s a primo place to live,” says Sandy Hermerding, a longtime Bay Area Realtor with Everhome Real Estate. “Top-tier schools and parks are all within walking distance, but one of the best parts about Kimber-Gomes is that wherever you go in the neighborhood, you have a beautiful view of the foothills and Mission Peak.”

Mixed housing stylings with backdrop views of the hills

The neighborhood’s wide streets feature nicely paved sidewalks and clusters of native trees, from palms to cypresses and oaks. Many homes don’t have large lots, but there are often fences and landscaping between residences, which provides more privacy. Some properties are on smaller, more secluded cul-de-sacs, while others line along streets with unobstructed backdrop views of the surrounding hills. Common housing architecture includes Mid-Century Modern, contemporary ranch-style, Mediterranean and Victorian styles. Single-family home prices range from $1.5 million to $3.5 million, depending on the size and renovations. Townhouses are another option, typically contemporary in design and priced from about $1 million to $1.5 million. Plus, the neighborhood’s CAP Index Crime Score is 1 out of 10, which is considerably lower than the national average score of 4.
