A quiet Northside Indy neighborhood that's still near the action
Nora-Far Northside, simply known as Nora to most locals, is a suburban neighborhood on the northern edge of Indianapolis. The neighborhood is just across 96th Street from Hamilton County and booming Carmel. This location gives the neighborhood a best-of-both-worlds appeal—while maintaining a sense of serenity. It's 4 miles north of entertainment options in Broad Ripple and 6 miles south of Carmel’s vibrant downtown. “It's quiet for the most part,” says Sherry Williams, a homeowner and operator of a chemical distribution company in Nora for the past 10 years. “I told my husband the other day, I’m settled. I don’t want to move.”

While individual subdivisions have different personalities due to the variety of prices, there is one commonality. “We have lots of trees.
