Bacall Executive Golf Course and Bacall Recreation Center located in the neighborhood

The Villages offers access to dozens of golf courses and recreational centers for a monthly activities fee. Within Largo is Bacall Recreation Center, which offers pickleball and tennis courts, bocce and a family pool. The rec center also has billiard tables and hosts daily activities like mahjong, yoga and chess. The Bacall Executive Golf Course is also located in the neighborhood and offers nine holes of play along rolling terrain. More recreational options are in neighborhoods nearby, including Bonita, which offers an adults-only pool, fishing and remote-control boating, the nine-hole Hemingway Golf Course, and the 27-hole championship course at Havana Country Club. “If you move here and you can’t find something here that excites you, you’re from another planet,” says James Haviland, a Realtor with Sellstate Superior Realty who sells throughout The Villages, with a chuckle. “If you like to dance, if you like to golf, if you like to sit in the closet and watch TV – there’s something for you in The Villages.”

Close to Lake Sumter Landing

The bustling town square of Lake Sumter Landing, located less than 2 miles away, has walkable streets lined with specialty boutiques and a wide range of restaurants, all with ample golf cart parking. Of the many popular restaurants, Thai Ruby is a favorite for its authentic dishes and VKI Japanese Steakhouse is a go-to for sushi. There are also casual options like Johnny Rockets and Panera Bread. Courtyard villas and designer homes from 2006 and 2007

Designer-style homes and courtyard villas line Largo's residential streets. They have three bedrooms and two bathrooms and were built between 2006 and 2007. Prices range from the low $300,000s to the mid $500,000s, with higher-priced homes offering more square footage and recent renovations. A handful of homes back up to the Bacall Executive Golf Course and are priced in the $600,000s. Front lawns are neatly landscaped, and backyards often feature patios or pools. While there are no sidewalks in the neighborhood, the streets are quiet and offer plenty of room for bike rides and evening walks.
