Parkwood Estates is convenient to everything

Parkwood Estates is a densely populated suburban neighborhood found 7 miles north of downtown Nashville. Living here means being close to enjoy the vibrant, buzzing energy of Music City while still being removed enough to enjoy a quiet night’s sleep. Whether one needs to get to work, spend a day at the museums or a night on the town, this neighborhood is conveniently near all the major interstates to get there quickly. “Parkwood Estates is on the corridor for a lot of growth,” says longtime Nashville resident and Realtor Emille Warner from Parks Real Estate. “The neighborhood is being developed at a tremendous rate as businesses look to expand beyond the downtown area,” says Realtor Warner.

Modest homes on tree-lined streets

Parkwood Estates is home to mostly modest 1960s single-family ranch-style and split-level homes. Most homes sit on fair-sized lots and have private driveways. A handful of homes here have attached garages. There are no sidewalks in the community, but most of the streets are tree-lined, which provides a shady, residential feel. Prospective buyers can expect to pay between $279,000 for a 1,400 square-foot ranch to about $475,000 for an 1,800 square-foot split-level home.

The park at the heart of the community

Parkwood Park is at the heart of the community. Kids fly down the giant yellow slide at the playground and balls bounce on the basketball court. The adjoining community center has many classes and provides a place to relax with friends or break a sweat during a workout session. After school, students can also participate in the center’s youth programs. The 5-acre park is undergoing exciting renovations to restore its baseball fields and develop an additional 53 acres of parkland.
