Suburban living in Southeast Nashville
Just minutes away from the hip area of Berry Hill and the roar of tigers at the Nashville Zoo, Radnor is a small neighborhood that thrives off its long-standing local businesses and community. It's about 5 miles south of downtown Nashville—less than a 15-minute drive—giving it easy access to excitement and amenities. “People are interested in moving to Radnor because of the proximity to downtown Nashville,” says Kellye Potter, a fifth-generation Nashvillian and Broker/Owner of Selling Music City Realty. “But most importantly, the shops and restaurants found on Nolensville Road give it a true community feel. Radnor was once home to the women-only Radnor College of 1906. Historical landmarks like the Turner Grammar School still stand today and show the overall development of the area. Though it’s one of Nashville's smaller suburbs, Radnor has personality and gives residents a convenient place to settle in Southeast Nashville.

There’s also a large gymnasium and dance studio inside where youth sports leagues do their activities. Outside the center, residents stroll along the trails that loop around the green spaces and playground. Radnor State Lake Park—which Potter notes as one of the most beautiful parks in Nashville—is home to wildlife like herons, otters and owls. “It’s a must-see destination if you like in Radnor,” says Potter. Nature enthusiasts can walk or bike the 7-mile trail or participate in ranger-led programs such as astronomy night hikes and canoe floats. Nashboro Golf Club is the nearest public golf course, just 8 miles away. Radnor also borders the Nashville Zoo at Grassmere, one of the city's most visited attractions. While it has become a major attraction for over one million visitors a year, locals appreciate the small events that the zoo hosts, like Brew in the Zoo, Zoolumination and Boo at the Zoo. Residents can also soar through the zoo while ziplining over the 3,000 animals.
