Growing neighborhood in the north of Rockwall
Stone Creek – Rockwall is named for one of two developments within the neighborhood and sits on the northern edge of Rockwall. “Rockwall is just a good place to be,” says Reggie Walker, who has been a real estate agent with eXp Realty for nine years. “And Rockwall County has cheaper taxes than Dallas.” Residents can drive south to Interstate 30, which reaches into the heart of downtown Dallas. As one of the suburbs of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, Rockwall has experienced the growth of the area, even though the city was first incorporated in 1854. “Everything in Rockwall is new,” says Walker. “In the past 30 years, Rockwall has really grown into a city.” While most of Stone Creek – Rockwall has been developed, there are still some plots available for a semi-custom-built home. Stone Creek – Rockwall has a crime score of 2 from the CAP Index, lower than the national average of 4.

A public boat launch for Lake Ray Hubbard is about 3 miles southwest. “Everyone wants to be on the lake,” Walker says.
