A slower slice of the Mile High City

Located in Thornton, one of Denver’s closest suburbs, the Fallbrook Farms neighborhood provides the comforts of a suburb along with premier access – not just to the Mile High City, but to some of the most scenic spots along the Rocky Mountains too. Though just 10 miles from Denver’s city center, the area manages to preserve the natural beauty and serenity that come with living in the foothills. “It’s a classic suburban atmosphere in a lot of ways,” says John Valdez, Associate Broker with Keller Williams and longtime resident of the area. “It’s really convenient for commuters and people who work in the city, but it’s more residential and neighborly at its heart.”

Modern Contemporary homes and townhouses line suburban streets

Single-family homes in Fallbrook Farms consist entirely of modern contemporary builds, most are from 2001 to 2017. They typically feature elements of Craftsman design, with mixed materials and low-pitched, gabled roofs. They sit along wide, sidewalk-lined streets that occasionally round off into cul-de-sacs. Prices start at around $500,000 and reach as high as $865,000 for larger, more modern homes. A smaller selection of townhouses – Fallbrook Farms Paired Homes – are available on the neighborhood's northern edge. These reflect much of the same style as the single-family homes and range from just under $400,000 to $550,000.

Plenty of options close by, and even more in Denver

With Denver so close, residents have an abundance of choices when it comes to shopping and dining in the Mile High City. Those looking to remain a bit closer to home or avoid traffic also have plenty of options at places such as the nearby Orchard Town Center – home to retail favorites such as Target, JCPenney and REI. “The Town Center has a ton, which means that residents don’t really have to travel to Denver for basic stuff, which is especially nice on their days off,” says Valdez. “You have some smaller options along with the classics, like Chipotle.” Just south towards Northglenn, popular chains Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar and Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen serve up creative takes on comfort food. For groceries, residents can choose between King Soopers or Safeway.
