Sheridan Parkside, city access without the noise
Officially part of the Town of Tonawanda, Sheridan Parkside is found less than 10 miles northeast of downtown Buffalo. Neighborhoods such as Sheridan Parkside are invaluable for those who need a bit of separation from the faster pace of living in the urban center. It's just a couple miles from the Niagara River and the quaint communities that have developed by the river, and Sheridan Parkside itself has a laidback, accessible vibe. With plenty of housing options, sculpted green spaces and nearby local businesses, residents miss out on nothing, yet can be in the heart of Buffalo within 15 minutes.
Midcentury ranch homes to new traditional properties
Bordered by an industrial area at the east and a rolling golf course to the west, the residential center of Sheridan Parkside provides a mixture of housing types for both owners and renters. Duplexes and townhouses comprise most multi-family housing, while Colonial Revivals and ranch homes stand alone on modest but well-maintained yards. The residential streets are quite walkable, and many residents bike around to head to local shops, but overall, it’s a more car-dependent community surrounded by busier districts. Many single-family properties were constructed in the mid to late 20th century, though contemporary houses have popped up in the last decade. The median selling price is $205,000, and generally, properties that exceed $250,000 are exceptionally new or have four or more bedrooms.
Most homes in Sheridan Parkside are single story town homes.
