Residents cherish Aragona Village's serene atmosphere and friendly neighbors.
A historical town with easy access to Virginia Beach amenities
One of the first planned neighborhoods in Princess Anne County, with a rich and deep history of early American settlements, Aragona Village is considered the largest subdivision in Tidewater. “Today, Aragona Village is located in the heart of Virginia Beach, near Town Center, and convenient to shopping and many restaurants,” says Realtor Judi McArthur with Rose & Womble Realty. Only a short drive from the ocean, airport and the Pembroke Square Mall on Virginia Beach Boulevard, Aragona Village residents have access to many amenities. Established brick ranch-style homes line the clean streets of Aragona Village, which surround the Rosewood Memorial Park and Cemetery. Students here can attend highly rated Virginia Beach City Public Schools, and families can walk or bike around the subdivision's many quiet streets together.
Brick ranch-style homes on quiet streets
Aragona Village is comprised of mainly sprawling brick ranch-style houses from the 1950s and 1960s, with expansive front yards and comfortable driveways. Fenced backyards for families and quiet streets accommodate walkers and bikers, though there are not many sidewalks. “I’ve been in the same Aragona house since 1958, and while work has taken me to other places, I’ve never wanted to leave Aragona Village,” says Resident Historian of the Aragona Civic League, Kenneth Johnson. Ranch-style homes are between $175,000 and $350,000, there are plenty of options with three or more bedrooms, and a few are being renovated with all-new interiors. Two-story bi-level and raised ranch houses can cost over $350,000 and reach almost $400,000. Many homes border the Rosewood Memorial Park and Cemetery, which covers roughly 55 acres.
