With easy access to miles of intertwining trails, abundant green open spaces and a highly rated school district, locals in Quail Ridge-Adams have access to everything that Broomfield and Westminster County have to offer. Situated right on the border of Broomfield County and bordering Interstate 25, residents can find peace and serenity amongst the panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains, with bustling shopping centers less than 2 miles away and major cities less than 20 miles away.

Here, diverse architectural styles line the streets, from eclectic duplexes resembling a mix of colonial and Tudor-style homes to modest ranches with colorful vinyl siding. However, many single-family homes blend traditional and Craftsman style influences, displaying eaved roofs, covered front stoops, stone accents and modest front yards. "Most of the homes were built in the late 1990s and early 2000s. While it's a planned community, it's not cookie cutter compared to some of the newer neighborhoods around here," says Amanda Shaver, Realtor with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices and local resident.

Here, prospective homebuyers can expect median prices for a single-family home to hover around the mid $500,000s, with some selling up to the $620,000s for an average lot size around 1,884 square feet, slightly below the national average. Those looking for a town house can choose from duplexes with attached garages that blend into the landscape of standalone dwellings, often ranging in the mid $300,00s to the low $400,000s. "Quail Ridge is definitely the more affordable end of the Broomfield-Westminster area, but still feeds into Legacy High School, one of the highest ranked schools in Colorado," Shaver says.

The Adams 12 Five Star Schools District serves students in the neighborhood, attending schools ranked above average on Niche. Kids start at Arapahoe Ridge Elementary, scoring a B and Silver Hills Middle School with a B-minus. Although students in Quail Ridge live within the boundaries of Westminster, high school students are still districted to attend Legacy High School in Broomfield County, which boasts an A-minus rating on Niche and offers students the opportunity to earn college credit early on through Advanced Placement courses.

In the afternoon, Quail's Crossing Park offers a rocketship-themed playground and open fields great for an afternoon picnic. This small park also has a trailhead connecting to the nearly 12 mile long Big Dry Creek Trail system. Walking along the paths, wild native grasses, tranquil views and the occasional prairie dog may greet you. "The entire community is dedicated to implementing trails and open spaces throughout to respect the natural surroundings around us and emulate the outdoor-oriented Colorado lifestyle," Shaver says. With nearby Big Dry Creek Park and McKay Lake Park and Open Lands both under 2 miles away, hikers, bikers and dogwalkers will rejoice at the over 20 miles of interconnected trails spread across the area.

The Shops at Quail Creek is about a 1 mile walk from the neighborhood and is home to various businesses, such as Great Clips for a quick haircut or Palace Nails and Spa for a pedicure after a long day. For everyday necessities, King Scoopers is the main draw. La Distileria will soon be a new resident, serving a mix of delightful Mexican cuisine ranging from crunchy Empanadas to sizzling Fajitas. On a Friday night, ignore the delivery fees and head to Roseti’s Pizza for a delicious deep-dish pie to end the week.

Within a 2 mile radius, residents can enjoy various shopping and dining options. The Orchard Town Center is home to big box stores, such as Target and Lazy Dog Restaurant and Bar, where you can sit on the dog-friendly patio while tossing scraps to your pup under the table. Walmart and Lowes are less than a mile from Quail Ridge along West 136th Avenue. At the same time, the Denver Premium Outlets offer discounted items from major retailers, such as Columbia and Banana Republic. However, this shopping mecca extends far beyond its borders, with Boulder's eclectic stores and Denver's upscale boutiques a mere 20 miles away.
