Why Live in Lula
Lula is a rural area northeast of Gainesville with a large variety of homes, including New Traditional houses, Craftsman-style builds, ranch-style properties and bungalows. They can range from the mid-$100,000s to the mid-$500,000s. There are also a handful of townhouses available in newer subdivisions. The area's Blue Ridge Connector is expected to bring more commercial development. Residents often work in Gainesville, around 15 miles away. Athens is about a 40-mile drive, and Atlants is closer to 65 miles out. Students are split between Hall County Schools and Banks County Schools. People come from across the region to shop at Jaemor Farms, which sells fresh produce and baked goods at its market and has sandwiches and salads at its eatery. Napoli's Pizza, Gillsville Cafe and Los Arcos are other dining options. People can exlore the outdoors at Don Carter State Park, which has hiking and horseback riding trails, and Rafe Banks Wellness Park, which has sports courts and is dog-friendly. Cedar Creek Reservoir is a quiet fishing area, and Another Round Lula runs two disc golf courses.
