About Catherine

Cathie Abeel is a full-time Professional Real Estate Agent and a member of the Phoenix Association of Realtors. She possesses love for the Estrella Mountain region as well as Arizona’s desert and the surrounding mountains. Originally from Thunder Bay, Ontario Canada, Cathie moved to Alaska and started her family before settling in Murrieta, California. There she raised her five sons, watched some of them join the Marine Corp, all of her sons marry and started families of their own. She is a proud grandma of 12 grandchildren (so far lol). She has retired after 20 years working for the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner – Public Administrator, where she was an “estate” investigator, responsible to locate heirs and safeguard estate assets and finally promoted to deputy Public Administrator responsible for the administration of probates valued in the millions to indigent value.
After retiring and moving to Arizona, she pursued her second career as a REALTOR®, working for HomeSmart. HomeSmart employes over 28,000 REALTORS®, making it the largest Real Estate Brokerage in the Phoenix Metro area. HomeSmart holds leadership positions on local, State and National Boards of REALTORS®.
