About James
Jim may have been born with real estate in his blood. From the very beginning he had a strong desire to own, which led him to purchase a first home in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 19. This occurred just in time to celebrate Christmas 1979 in his own home. I moved from my parents’ house directly into this new home, which was in close proximity to Lambert Airport, thus skipping the usual opportunity to become a renter.
That first experience with real estate was Jim’s motivation to enroll in classes at the local Community College, where he specialized in real estate law, appraisals, and sales.
In the years which followed, he found work in the construction business. This afforded him an opportunity to acquire valuable experience and to hone his skills in roofing, concrete flatwork, plumbing, windows, as well as kitchen/bath remodeling. The high costs of construction and repair services, along with his lack of funds at the time were deciding influences on his vocational and training interests. Jim worked, and more importantly, he learned. This soon led him to open his own construction company under the name of Construction Consultants.
Over the next twenty years of business and home ownership, Jim was able to acquire nearly fifty homes in St. Louis. This gave him the experience of working through multiple mortgages, owner financing purchases, utility expansions, insurance policies, owner financed sales, and all phases of home maintenance and improvements. As a young man, he always strove for excellence and developed a hands-on approach, working on-site with the various tradesmen, never expecting them to do something that he would not, or had not done.
Jim came to Cape Coral, Florida and first purchased in 1999. He initially found work as a mortgage broker with Florida Mortgage Trust and continued to buy more real estate whenever he saw the opportunity.
Entering the years after 2006, he was working on exit strategies and asset preservation. Bringing all the real estate skills and knowledge he has learned; Jim began listing and sales of homes in the local area.
Now well versed and experienced, he is grateful for the trust of repeat business and referrals which bring in a large volume of business today. Being engaged in teamwork and education in a continually evolving field, he can enjoy the rewards of dedication and respect for professional colleagues and customers alike.
