GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Bathrooms are disgusting and they only have the smallest and one of the older bathroom open all periods which is unreasonable. Some wings of the school is dated. Most teachers are helpful and engaging, but some are unhelpful. Guidance office is very helpful and supportive

In my experience, teachers have been either very helpful and understanding or dismissive. I have had some amazing teachers while being at Allentown who not only helped foster my educational growth but also my individual growth. The school itself has poor communication across the board. Some memos do not reach the entire student body or staff.

Allentown high school accepts all .. between academics and sports and clubs.. Allentown High school has been an amazing experience in my high school education. Everyone knows everyone and the staff has so much dedication to the school and students. I feel a huge loss not attending Allentown next year but it has shaped me in becoming who I am today and I have the ability to grow because of Allentown High School.

The ASL teacher disrespected the entire class talking about how she didn’t like us-I overheard when she didn’t mute. Sadly bullying and especially racist students in multiple classes. Cool how this school had the ASL class option. Good math teachers, but the platform math IXL is for certain painful.

My teens are a freshman and senior in Allentown, HS. The new principal has really enhanced the school for the better. He down to earth, level headed and brilliant. The guidance department has been extremely helpful in the college process, which is overwhelming and confusing. I feel the school is pro...

My son has attended the Allentown schools and is a junior in the High School. The district is nothing but professional, caring and intelligent. They truly care for all children no matter their level of learning, financial status or race. The teachers are always available to speak about concerns, ext...

My son attends the HS. This school has many programs and opportunities for all students if they want to participate in them. The teachers are friendly but for the most part are strict, trying to students be responsible for their own work and attendance. Accountability is huge. There will be times as...
