GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

As senior at Loara I would like to say that my experiences there started off a bit rough with the pandemic just being over. I feel like loara handled the situation well and I noticed how throughout the years students have become more involved and spirited. Although there have been conflicts within student Loara has pulled through and created a good community not only with their students and faculty but with families.

My experience at Loara HS has been good because of band. I think that if I would have never joined band these pass 3 years would have been boring and I would have had nothing to do. Band is a lot but it helps me stay involved. If I were not to join I probably would have been one of those kids that just goes to school and then comes home, which in some cases it's bad but I like to keep myself occupied. Band is one of the good parts. Bad parts of HS are that sometimes I have so much things going on with band that my grades might go down but it's all time management. I like how they offer dual enrollment, I have already token some courses to get college credits. For the past 3 years I have also been in Avid. I feel like Avid helps me keep track and has helped me decide what I wanted to do in life and what I need to start doing to accomplish my goals.
