Part of the Anaheim Elementary School District, Ponderosa Elementary serves approximately 1,000 students from pre-kindergarten through the sixth grade. The school is located on S. Mountain View Avenue, near Ponderosa Park in Anaheim Resort.
Ponderosa Elementary School offers a unique Spanish and English dual language immersion program where students learn to think, read and write in both languages. Students who participate in the program have the opportunity to receive the “Seal of Biliteracy Award” once they have completed elementary school at the end of sixth grade.
Ponderosa Elementary also offers students an award-winning and district sponsored after school enrichment program, which is co-sponsored by the YMCA. This program reinforces the school’s curriculum by providing literacy development, homework help, mentoring and a variety of engaging programs for students including art, music, dance, cooking, drama and much more.
The school also offers a district-sponsored Gifted and Talented Education Program that is designed specifically for students in third through sixth grades who show the potential for exceptional academic promise.

There is bullying at every school, but as parents are job is to communicate with our children and teachers. My son was bullied and I did something about it! I talked to the teacher and my son.
