GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Ann Richards overall has been okay. I do like how this school really prepares you for college. Alumni's always come back and say that college is easier or that they felt very well prepared for college. We are really good in most of our sports. Our teachers are okay, we recently have had some issues with new staff but they will learn to be better. I just wished they had more pathways. Maybe because we are a small school we only have 3 pathways but it would be better if we had more options.

The Ann Richards school is a unique experience when joining in the sixth grade, you can almost compare it to attending a college, almost no one knows each other and thats the scary yet exciting part. At this school they make sure that the students bonding is a priority as these will be the people you will be with for another seven years, overall its a unique culture and everyone finds their place in the school within the time you are there.

Its a small all girls school that has a very nice learning community and supportive environment. This school nurtured my love for engineering, encouraged my growing leadership, and praised my independence.

Im here to just be real, this school sucks. They present themselves as the greatest school for young women but the second the student walks in without a parent by their side, all hell breaks loose. The staff are so disrespectful to students who are literally just trying to live a regular life rather...

The school is academically excellent but I have also found the administration - specifically teachers - to be engaged in the girls well being emotionally. My experience is that the students are treated as capable and things my kid didn’t know she could do, she is now doing well in.We live close to t...

The staff seem to care more about the school’s reputation than the actual kids. There are no counseling services. The “counselors” have master’s in education so are not really trained to support the kids’ social-emotional skills. The STARS class is a wasted elective space. The lead STARS teacher is...

This school isn’t the best and the only few teachers are cool. Most teachers are really strict with the dress code, gives a long lecture for half of the class that’s usually useless and doesn’t give much time to work, and would give a hard assignment with a short amount of time to work on, and there...
