My high school experience was a struggle because of the Covid-19 lockdown, I was lacking in social interaction. I was diagnosed with a chronic disease and had to balance my health with my schoolwork, I felt like I had to go through it alone. I am glad that the new students do not have to struggle the way I did and that they get a chance to make meaningful social connections. I am very grateful for my teachers and their support throughout my high school career. I hope more teachers - like the ones I had - get involved with students to provide them with academic and emotional support.

I have been at Liberty High School for three years now and will be a senior this upcoming fall. I have been involved in sports and in clubs. The best parts of high school have to the football games and all the services hours I have done for clubs. I love to contribute and help out the school and the community as much as I can. I recently attributed to the Keep Bakersfield Clean and the East Bakersfield Festival. I helped clean around Bakersfield for the Great American Cleanup and got to collaborate with the Spanish Honor Society at my school and clean a part of Bakersfield. For the East Bakersfield Festival I helped set up some booths of vendors that attended the festival and got to experience the different cultures of East Bakersfield. Some bad experiences are having to witness drama people create at my school. Something I would like to maybe change is having more resources or time for students to figure out how to apply to scholarships or for college applications.

My experience at Liberty High School has been very safe and fun. It's a mid size school with great staff and students. I'm glad to have attended my four years at Liberty and I would say it's a good school to attend. It has a very clean campus, the teachers are very dedicated and the students are kind and welcoming. The sports team do very well and we have coaches that push us to try harder. Some things I would like to change are opening more restrooms for the girls and allowing us to leave the Campus during our lunch.

The school environment and kids seem respectful, but the teachers have disappointed me as far as helping my daughter in certain subjects!
