GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Pretty great school, with a few exceptions such as controversial teachers and heavy workload. The school's very supportive of minorities and I feel safe. Yes, there are nasty people, but only a few and you'll make friends as long as you don't shun everyone.

The school provides some pretty cool and interesting classes. However, the school does not account for the amount of students that go there, so there is not enough resources for everyone.

Excellent school / Tech encourages all students to join a club or activity to allow for a smaller community within a large school.

Excellent school, very safe environment and the staff, leaders and teachers ensure the community is getting all of its resources and knowledge to set them up for success. Almost 6000 students in the school, quite impressive!

The school is far from perfect but it does well given the number of students.

Brooklyn Tech has a good reputation. Principal Newman is an excellent leader, Ms Nottingham is terrific and school guidance is top notch.Unfortunately, the teachers don't abide by Newman's rules or his guidance. He speaks regularly about social/emotional well-being but the teachers have missed the m...
