Park Slope Collegiate is located at 237 7th Avenue, 4th Floor, Brooklyn, NY 11215. The school serves children in grades 6 through 12 from the local Park Slope neighborhood. Because teachers know how challenging it is to create a strong sense of community among people from different backgrounds, schools have an intimate atmosphere and small class sizes. Classes include global studies, English, Language Arts, Algebra or Geometry, Physical Education, Art, Spanish, and more. Students build social, emotional, thinking, and problem-solving skills. Students are encouraged to voice their opinions and given a safe space to develop strong relationships with their peers and teachers. At Park Sope Collegiate, preparing students to transition to college is a high priority for the teachers and faculty. The school holds an annual Career and College Day to bring alums and special guests to talk about life after high school. In addition, students have access to a dedicated guidance counselor who will explain the difference between types of colleges and what colleges are looking for in their applicants. Historically the school has an excellent track record for graduating students and sending them to two and four-year colleges.

I would NOT recommend this school. TALK TO THE LOCAL PRECINCT 78...TALK WITH THE SCHOOL SAFETY THERE. THEY WILL TELL YOU ABOUT THE SCHOOL. ALSO THE GUIDANCE COUNSELOR FOR THE 11-12 GRADE IS VERY MEAN. DOESNT REALLY LIKE KIDS ( POC) ASK THE KIDS. THERES THE ANSWER.

There were many changes going on within the school politically and administratively, yet the staff continued staying true to the school mission and fostering an ideal environment for students who wished to pursue passions not only in school, but outside as well.

Do not send your kid to middle school here if you want them to be prepared for high school. In an attempt to be fair to all.. they are not fair to lots. The admin bends over backwards to support some kids to the detriment of others. In an attempt to be kind the kids can always make up work and do not learn study habits or how to meet deadlines. There are hardly any clubs or activities and even less parental involvement. Well intentioned "nice white admin" but ineffective.

This school is only good if it’s your only option. I recently graduated from here and it was just awful. They do not offer much AP courses and do not prepare you for AP exams, along with regents. The students here are disrespectful and egotistical. They do not do much about bullying, just a slap on...

We LOVE this school. Our daughter went to PS 321 and won the lottery with Park Slope Collegiate. 25% of her class (grade) is from PS 321 and we were concerned she wouldn't meet new folks, but she has found a VERY balanced friend group that is very healthy. The class sizes are small with 2 teachers t...
