GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The best part of my experience was the incredibly friendly staff who were always ready to help and make my stay enjoyable. The worst part was the slow Wi-Fi connection, which made it difficult to get work done. I would like to see an improvement in the Wi-Fi speed to make it more convenient for business travelers like myself. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I would consider staying there again if the Wi-Fi issue is addressed.

My experience at Hugh M. Cummings High has honestly not been bad. I have been at this school for three years. I spent one year away due to a rezoning incident, but I came back for my senior year. The best parts about this school are the people. I really love the teachers here as they genuinely care about the students. The worst parts are probably the fake threats that happen at school. I hope there won't be any more budget cuts or teachers leaving. I would also like the lunch food to change, but it's not the school's fault.

My experience in high-school wasn't the best. Not because of not fitting in or anything like that , I just wish that they did a better job at preparing me for college. Not just only introducing college ready programs senior year , but actually having classes or seminars about how to transfer from college to college life.

While the school isn't that great quality-wise, the teachers are usually not there for the money and are there to help. Also, the lack of bullying here is amazing especially since I was constantly bullied for having Autism back in Northern Guilford Middle.

I went to this school and I have intentionally made sure that my children will NEVER attend this school..I refuse to move anywhere near this district! I watched kids beat and bully other kids when I attended! I seen a boy have his head pounded into the concrete at the bus lot by another boy. The tea...
