Established in the 1880s, Chatsworth Park Elementary is the oldest elementary school in Chatsworth. The school enrolls over 350 students and serves kindergarten through fifth grade. A Gold Ribbon and California Distinguished Recipient, Chatsworth Park Elementary aims to support students by helping them develop a strong foundation in preparation for college and career readiness at a young age. The core curriculum includes math, science, reading, history and physical education. In addition, Chatsworth Park Elementary offers the Gifted and Talented Enrichment Program for fourth- and fifth-grade students. The school also features the Accelerated Reader program, a supplemental program designed to individually guide students to books that cater to the individual student’s reading level. Special programs offered through the school include Making Movies That Matter, which invites students to participate in a unique arts program that culminates with students participating in a youth film festival. Chatsworth Park Elementary also boasts a robotics program and Once Upon a Dance, a social dance class that helps students with social-emotional development. Chatsworth Park Elementary School allows students to explore their interests while having a robust curriculum.
