While most students have not had positive experiences with most teachers, I do not entirely blame the school for these hires. The school is overpopulated and very understaffed; there are about 25-35 kids a class. For SOL testing I have had to sit on the floor multiple times because there were not enough seats. Hopefully one day the school can have proper staff and enough space for every student.

It's not bad. The building itself is pretty old and run down but it's fine. We have good sports teams and the arts aren't bad.

Thomas Dale is overall just your basic public high school. We have AP and college classes connected to Brightpoint which gives us a head start on getting credits we need for college. The school does have a few issues the main one being Communication throughout it. You won't learn what's happening in the school for the day until the day it's happening. This isn't for just students teachers find out last minute also and it's a problem that needs to be fixed immediately. Academically at least from my experience has been good. Teachers help me when I ask them to explain assignments and they always have a friendly attitude towards their students.

With 3 children, one already graduated from Thomas Dale, I can confidently say each individual student’s experience at Thomas Dale will directly reflect the choices that student makes - who they choose to be friends with, how much they choose to study, how engaged they choose to be. Thomas Dale has...

Both of my children have attended Thomas Dale High School. I have found the teachers to be kind and caring and the administration to go above and beyond on more than one occasion. The community within the school is hard to miss and makes Thomas Dale home to the students and staff. Like anything, you...

Something else that should be mentioned is that the "cameras" outside most likely don't work. I believe this because someone broke into my brother's car after school hours, where it was parked in the teacher parking lot, and they "couldn't pull up the tapes." So either they can't be bothered when th...

It was ok I guess you could say. The staff in the front office are lazy and don't want to process requests. Teachers are nasty and rude towards students AND PARENTS and they don't have any sympathy when a student is out sick or has family issues. Teachers are ALWAYS late to class, but get onto child...
