While student test scores are higher than average, the success at Kerhs Mill can be measured by more than academics. Unique curriculum and events offer well-rounded development of each student. To meet the full spectrum of academic needs, Kerhs Mill offers several specialized programs. ESOL provides services for students who speak languages other than English. And for those who need additional help with reading, OASIS provides a tutorial program staffed by volunteer senior citizens, and the Reading Intervention program offers additional daily support from Reading Specialists.
Beyond these academic programs, the Kerhs Mill school calendar is filled with engaging activities. Special events include Abilities Awareness Day, charitable drives, Donuts with Grownups, battle of the books, STEAM night, and multi-cultural night. These events, combined with other academic efforts, are designed to promote community service, responsibility, self-esteem, and a life-long love of learning in each student.

Teachers were always so kind, and helped whenever needed. I'm going into 8th grade and almost all of my friends (who went to Kehrs Mill) are in gifted classes with me. I loved everything and miss it terribly.

This is a good public school choice, but the class sizes are much too large. There are 25 or 26 children in many of the classrooms with no teacher's aid.

Kehrs Mill Elementary is not that good comparing to other elementary schools in the Rockwood School District. Getting MAP score high becomes everything here.
