GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Their pathways are good for the students there and it is a great school if you're interested in agriculture.

This school has very unique and interesting programs that you wouldn't find anywhere else in the city. The teachers are always helpful and truly care. The neighborhood it is located in is very safe and friendly. Students here are highly involved in their education.

I was unsure of starting at the school but it has really changed my mind. The teachers and staff really do their best to get everyone into a ready state to get into a college of their choice. From Freshman year students have to build a portfolio and go to 'training' that really helps prepare them for college interviews, having to give speeches, and getting the job you want. It has been a great experience and I wish COVID had not interfered so much with our school years.

I am currently a freshman at CHSAS and I would like to say the information reported in the reviews is exceptionally false. For starters, students do not smoke on school premises. I know ths for a fact considering there has been a time whereas a student attempted to have a cigarette outside of the sc...

Learning about commas and quotation marks in high school? School out of control. All this business about good opportunities...garbage. My other child has many more opportunities at private school...which is exactly where my child is going this year. They will get into U of I with a low ACT though......

Inner city school brought to a nice neighborhood. Lot of fights, zero discipline and an apathetic principal who can't be truthful. No books for many classes, teachers out for weeks at a time and mist can't control the kids they are teaching. Pay the money and send kids to private schools.
