Rowe Elementary School is a Chicago Public School's charter school operated by the Northwestern University Settlement. Northwestern Settlement, which founded the school with several corporate sponsors, has a several decades-long commitment to social, arts and education programs in Chicago. The school is named after Jeanne and John Rowe, Exelon chairman, whose financial support was essential to Rowe and numerous other Chicago schools. Rowe Elementary was established in 2009 and serves over 980 students in grades K-8. In 2014, a new adjacent facility, the Rowe Middle School, was built to house the upper grades, graduating its first class in 2016. Rowe Elementary School's focus is college readiness, giving students an immersive experience that installs a college-bound mindset. Students gain preparation for admittance to some of the most elite, high-performing high schools in the Chicago area, including Lane Tech, Walter Payton High School and Jones Preparatory. At Rowe, Students embark on a rigorous curriculum focused on math, language arts, social sciences and the fine arts. In addition, Rowe Elementary provides social programs and services that foster self-awareness, community-mindedness and social responsibility. The school works to instill pride, success and honor in its students and the communities they are a part of.

The teachers at Rowe are top notch, care about them and their home life. The fact that they were able to quickly switch to e-learning during this pandemic is impressive.
