GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Honestly the school itself isn't that bad. Most of the teachers are kind and supportive, but the students kind of screw up the experience in one way or another. Since Taft is just a general education school, their arts and music departments aren't barren but are lacking. There are several clubs to join and cover a wide variety of interests

The safety was okay, there were fights and police called very often. The only real reason why you would go to Taft was for the IB diploma program which I was apart of and the teachers were amazing there, but outside of IB the faculty did not care much to teach.

I loved my experience at Taft. I am part of the International Baccalaureate Program, and it was the best choice I have made. However, outside of the classroom, there is quite a bit of violence and drug use. Security isn't the greatest. The school events and sports are fun. Teachers are pretty good.

I’m currently a student attending at Taft and so far my experience has been nothing but terrible mostly due to the fact that bullying is still considered a normal thing and not looked at enough by teacher/staff also security is very lazy and would rather talk to each other in the halls instead of go...

My son is attending AC at Taft HS, and his experience has been positive overall. Teachers are responsive and supportive to students' needs. Many clubs to choose from and students are encouraged to be creative and share their interests with others.
