GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My Kenwood experience has had ups and downs. Overall I didn't enjoy my high school experience due to my school being poor, the faculty and staff being strict, the kids being rude and not having any general morals or respect for anyone, and the school environment being unorganized and chaotic etc. I will say that the best moments that I've had are being with my friends and going to dances and events that our school will have ever so often.

Some of the teachers are rather lackluster, ranging from difficult to interact with due to poor attitude, or simply being demeaning, degrading, holier-than-thou, favoritism following teachers. The school is reasonably safe, fights were fairly common.

Kenwood Highschool has gone downhill. The Principal does not know how to effectively do testing schedules, and the admin make a mess out of event planning on the calendar. The Kids are more disrespectful then the usual at a normal highschool and violence is often normal here. Fights break out very o...

It’s not that bad honestly, I mean the teachers and staff (most of them) are pleasant and helpful the only issue really is the kids some are really disrespectful and difficult but that’s rare. I personally like the school, a lot of the clubs are really fun and there isn’t a lot of bullying.

Aside from the usual teenage agnst, it was a pretty ok experience. The students had a respect for each other and usually the teachers. It was the 1st school in the county to start the stem program. It gets a bad rep because most of the students are low income.

I'm a student of Kenwood and despite what the media says, Kenwood is an amazing school. If you feel the need to judge the school, take a walk though it. See the loving people. Everyone is a family. Kenwood has great teachers and they really help you if you have a problem or even need something. The...
