GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Overall, it was okay, and I never had issues with bullying. Some of the staff were amazing, while others weren't as great. I was part of JROTC, and the teachers there were fantastic, helping me get to where I am today. Overall, I'd say Northmont is a good school. Most of the staff are kind and helpful, and there's a good level of diversity among students—mostly Black and White, with a small number of Asian students.

My experience with northmont was ok. The teachers were not helpful and some were even racist. The school personal was a hot mess. To many fights was going on and the new rules for the football games was awful it ruins my last year because of some freshman. Horrible.

Northmont has had lots more resources and options since it is a bigger school. The worst thing about Northmont is the amount of fights and lock downs. Sometimes I feel like the school doesnt tell the students and parents the full story about events or rumors.

Safety concerns. Students are assaulted and faculty and Student Resource Officers only say they can’t prevent it from happening. They ignore and refuse to investigate issues or holdAnyone accountable.

Northmont high school is really good. The staff is wonderful and understanding. The school has a lot to offer to students. The only drawback is that there needs to be more parental involvement and encouragement.

There was a wide variety of class options and many of the teachers were approachable. They need to work on helping students who were falling behind or need another way to be motivated to learn.
