GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I'm a transgender student that has attended Coupeville Middle/High School since 6th grade. The school and it's staff has been absolutely amazing in making me feel welcome and accepted.

When I was a cancer patient and survivor at Seattle Children's Hospital from 2005-2006, the staff got together and put in funds for a ferry ticket book. This allowed me to be able to come back to school once a month for about three days so I could still enjoy parts of my sophomore year regardless of the medical emergency. The only attribute which would round out the school would be a broader category of foreign languages to study. They only have Spanish.

Coupeville high school is A school on a small island called Whidbey Island. It can be really hard to get prepared for the outside world when you are living in going to school on an island and have such a small graduating class. My graduating class is about 45 students and the biggest class is our freshman class with a 95. This is my first year at Coupville and this year they brought in a new food program where one of our local restaurants Head chef comes down and provides us with school lunch. The teachers at Coupville are very good with understanding kids in their individual struggles. Although not the most academically challenging it's overall a good school.

Overall good experience. Too much religion in performing arts. Last year's drama was preachy, lacked creativity.

Coupeville's teachers are very committed to their students' success! They care enough to try to reach out to each student to help them reach their potential. The scholarship program here is excellent.

Beautiful school opened in 2007. One of the highest on-time and extended graduation rates in the state. Teachers care about their students' success both in school and in the future. For a small school, the high school has diverse and interesting course offerings. Glad to see tech upgrades happening...
