The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The school itself and the resources are excellent the biggest problems are that the students and teachers have this attitude of being above everyone that comes from outside their community. The students are also a bit delusional as they don't understand how privileged they are to be in such a beautiful school that offers them so many resources to thrive.

It was an okay experience for me. But my sophomore year was like a world of chaos. I waa bullied by juniors in my algebra 2 class and girls were inapropriately touching me, stalking me and making me uncomfortable. There was also this guy who asked me out when he already had a girlfriend. When i refused he called me a disease spreading person of color. One day he went as so far as to lock me in our algebra 2 classroom. I had to scream and bang on the door, and a coach saved me. The administration should keep an eye on certain kids. I was scared to tell anyone because i was a person of color

It was a very safe and nice school. Great teachers that care and encourage students to achieve. Like all school students had issues with other students at times but no gang like stuff. Great school overall!!
I strongly wish I had gone to a school that valued curiosity, inquiry, and humanity. Highland park is just a factory churning out more white privileged people from their white privileged parents.
