The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
The Test Score Rating reflects annual state test results for this school compared with scores statewide.

A good school to go to caring staff. Food isn't great, they give the same food everyday and I'm not kidding. Coaches for sports are good we just loose every game.

My experience at Thomas Jefferson High School is very fun and autentic. The way of teaching is very focused and has many resources, and ways to understand the topic. In my opinion, I can tell that it creates new paths for every student according with academics. At Sports, it has a very competitive way and it has a good coaching methods for encourage of the team.

Thomas Jefferson is a tuff school. It showed me a lot of real life situations that other schools don't show. The teachers there are so incredibly they feel like family they take care of us if we were their kids. My basketball coach was the best she didn't not only teach me the sport she taught me how to be a role model how to speak up for myself. Being in that sport helped me a lot as a person and I'm always going to be thankful for her and the school for hiring amazing staffs. Coach Crenshaw always took care of me when I most needed it. I needed someone to talk to she was there to support me and listen to me. Also when we didn't have food for games she always bought food for the team she also gave us food to take home if we didn't have any. The environment the school was always calm and peaceful. The only thing I didn't like was students who didn't behave good or listen to the teachers. They have to be nice to the teachers and respect.
i am a junior at tj and i really like this school. There are some really great teachers and students. Despite the fact of having a bad reputation, i fell that tj has passed through that. There are a lot of clubs and sports students can take. The only thing i don't like is that there isn't much diver...
