GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I think my school experience here was okay, there were things I liked and things that I didn't particularly enjoy. For example, I liked the teachers, they were always very helpful. I also liked the guidance that they have there. However, there wasn't a lot of diversity with people and with classes throughout the school. There was also a lot of bullying and judgement among the students.

I gained 28 college credits for free in this school. It helped me a lot in college. The teachers were well known to all the students and had (mostly) good rapport with the parents. The classes were enjoyable and you grew up with your classmates since the school was so small (for example, I graduated with about 50> kids).

Duanesburg is a great school. Some of the teachers are willing to go out of their way to help their students. The administration used to not like to listen to what the students have to say, but since the previous superintendent retired, it has gotten better.

Great school, great kids, great staff. Great start to adult life for anyone who graduates from this school with one of the highest graduation percentiles and college acceptance percentiles in NYS!

Keep your kids out of this school if you can. The bullying that was mentioned in previous reviews continues to this day. Mostly the administration ignores it, unless you are one of the chosen few. If your kid does get involved - either being bullied or defending someone - they punish everyone involv...
