GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

They have no school culture. We are not one unit. We have diversity, but we are all separate. The teachers are hit or miss. Some are very informational and some are just giving you work to do with no explanation. For me, I found my people in athletics and a program AVID. Our school had them for football games which made them more fun and inclusive. I would change the cafeteria, teacher preparation, and the cleanliness of the school.

Upon moving here from Texas, faculty members expressed genuine concern about my ability to assimilate both academically & socially. My 504 accommodations have been met consistently, & I've had an immense amount of support.

My experience with New Manchester High School has been overwhelmingly positive. All of the counselors are extremely supportive, I've had almost an unimaginable amount of home problems as well as school issues. Every time I have ever gone to the counselor to get advice I've left satisfied and even more contempt with life. I've never had a negative experience with any of my teachers nor classes and would even go so far as to exclaim that I've loved each and every one. When I first got to this school I was supported by the teachers and students alike with helping me get accustomed to this new period of my life and I am extremely thankful for them. Not only can I say confidently that I don't think anything should change, besides maybe the lunch, I can also say that I've never had any problems at this school that weren't handled in a timely manner. This is a great school and I've had an even better experience while going here.

I have had two children graduate from this school. I will tell you as someone working in education, that every school has its problems with behaviors. My kids excelled based on the work that THEY put in and when they did not excel, it was because of the work they THEY DID NOT put in. Families and co...

This school is terrible. Fights break out nearly every day, and the teachers make no effort to ensure a safe environment for the students. The teachers are mediocre, and student performance is below average. Although the performing arts program could be a highlight, even some teachers in that progra...

Last year my step daughter had a bad 9th grade year. She had multiple absences due to her skipping classes. Which I brought to the principal’s attention that she was neither in the bathroom or skipping in the gym. Long story short The adults in that school couldn’t handle the children nor keep up wi...
