GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

This school is very minimal in diversity culturally and educationally. In regards to college readiness there are many colleges coming to the school. However, there are very minimal extracurricular classes to prepare for college. There is a wide variety of quality of teachers, some are better than others. Overall, the school is mediocre, it has ups and downs; there are worse schools out there.

I believe DHS needs more. It is too focused on sports and not supporting kids who want to do other things in their life. Those in theater and choir do not have much school support. I would like to see the school put more into the arts as it is something important to many kids at DHS, but goes ignored. In addition, I would like to see more done about bullying at DHS. I believe that bullying and kids who are not kind to others is not taken care of correctly.

Dundee High School has a Focus Class that allows students to work on assignments and receive help that may be needed to be successful in school. I have been a part of this class for 2 years and have gained confidence and the ability to assert myself in classes that I have struggled in. I think this is a great class for those student who may need the extra help in their studies. Dundee High School does everything they can to help struggling students. The one thing that I would like to see improved at the school is career electives that go outside the realm of agriculture and construction. This would allow more opportunities for students to explore possible career paths outside our own farming community. '
