The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Stanton provided a lot of stress to its students; however it was never to an overwhelming level, at least in my situation. To say that the IB program at Stanton was rigorous is an understatement, as it was one of the most difficult in the country per the Washington Post. That being said, the student body was incredibly connected, and the faculty was always supportive and student-success minded, so that the school as a whole could be aimed at the success of every person that entered the building.

Even in Florida it is only the 7th best and given it gets the best of the best students in Duval County, there is something wrong with the direction of the administration. In the last 6 or 7...

The students of this school are truly the best of the best, and they are what make Stanton as superb as it is. There is no public nor private school in a many-mile radius that even comes close to comparing to Stanton. However, at Stanton, there are truly some of the best and worst teachers in Florid...

I went there from 1987-1993. It was crucial we had a sense of family in order for kids to go to a magnet school. We encouraged each other to succeed. Learning was enjoyable and exciting. Choosing classes and a path to college was something we looked forward to. We looked to the future and were prepa...
