The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

This school is very much a small town school. Not many classes other than the basics, and not many chances to participate unless you like sports. In a short review, many of the teachers do genuinely care, which I appreciate. But the school itself could definitely use some improvements when it comes to opportunity, and letting kids flourish in more ways then sports.

I've had a great experience in high school here, and think that if you're looking for a new high school, in northern michigan, it would be a great place to come. Faculty are nice and challenge students with thought provoking questions while simultaneously helping them grow with knowledge and individual thought.

Kingsley Area High School has a very friendly atmosphere, and for the most part, excellent educational staff. As in every school, there are a few sub-par faculty members, but that does not detract from the excellent staff there. The band program in particular is excellent, and the sports teams continue to impress the region. Overall, KAS is a great school to consider sending one's child to.
We were at a football game there last week. The stands are not senior friendly and the concessions are just as bad yo walk to. The parking is not handicap friendly My husband has cancer could hardly make to the standsHope you start thinking of us seniors that love to go to grands kids sports
I'm a student at Kingsley High. Some teachers at the school are fair and kind but most act like they have no clue how to teach and do the bare minimum. As a community member I feel unwelcome to provide suggestions. The school board President, said "You can talk till you are blue in the face, if no one is listening, what good is it going to do?" A previous Superintendent said it more subtly; "We all have to think the same way, or we will get noting...
