Being a new school, South LA College Prep has had many bumps in the road, like moving to a new campus, and having different teachers. I would say that the best thing about our school is having a good community. Though our facilities aren't very good nor set in stone, our admin is good at keeping us up with the curriculum.

I started at South LA College Prep in 9th grade so in 2021.We we're still actively in the pandemic so we have virtual learning which was a bit difficult for me.Luckily I had an amazing advisor that the school pairs you with for all four years and she was able to help me with my school work and mental health issues about staying motivated. Now being a Senior at this school and I will be the first graduating class I've seen this school grow and build its foundation community. I've gotten very involved with my school all three years I have been there. This school has given me many opportunities to have my voice heard and be involved when making important decisions. I'm grateful for this high school experience of having a small community when everyone knows each other and supports one another.
