I am in my second year here and I love the school. The teachers and counselors are all really nice. Also the music program is amazing i am in Orchestra. I do wish we had more PE or recess. I am a boy so i have had no issues with the dress code, but i have heard the girls dress code is more strict. I also wish we could sit where ever we wanted at lunch.

It's extremely fun, especially connections, the workload can be a bit tough at times, but besides that it's a great school. The girl's dress code is strict though, like, extremely strict, would've been excellent besides that.

I go here and trust me, this is a prison. All the parents may be happy with grade orientation, but for me it's almost too much. Most of the teachers are good, and they aren't too much trouble. However, the rest of school is trash. If you get B's, then you're considered 'dumb' or people think you need help getting your grades up. We have no way to be kids as we get loads of homework, and the school focuses too much on test grades. The dress code, especially for girls, is stupid. About the only thing that is somewhat fashionable that we are allowed to wear is jeans and a shirt. We can't wear leggings, jeggings, shorts above the knee, etc. Plus, we can't sit where we want to at lunch. There is no way for us to speak out, and we don't get recess.

Everyday feels worse than the last. We have a quiz every week and a test every other week. The school is allergic to creativity. Dickerson is a really good school compared to other ones in the area. I will say it is incredibly academically rigorous.
