GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I've been at Melbourne Senior High School for my Junior and ongoing Senior year. When I first enrolled I signed up for classes and met with my counselor to discuss the best classes to take. The school is very diverse with lots of students from different backgrounds whether ethnically or otherwise. The food is great. Some teachers aren't the best I've had, but they are dedicated to ensuring you succeed. Overall it's a great school.

I think it is a good schools but there is always room for improvement. The resources that students can have should be more aware to them because as a student I don't know where to find them.

I liked the atmosphere of the school, most of the bathrooms were clean, most staff was friendly, and most of the sports fields and courts were very clean. One thing i did have an issue with was how if one grade caused trouble, the administrators would punish the next graduating class. that's what happened to my class. class of 2022 took their senior prank too far, so class of 2023 almost didn't even have a senior prank. someone in class of 2022 wrote something offensive as a senior quote, so what does administration do to punish students, they TAKE AWAY senior quotes (which are a tradition nationwide for many years) from the NEXT class, 2023. Tell me how this makes any sense. another thing earlier in the four years i went to school was, class of 2022 caused so much trouble during their power hour, that the administrators took away power hour for the new grade (2023). The administrations "punishment" was so stupid and honestly made no sense.
