GreatSchools Rating

GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Midland high school does their best to do what they can for students. However it is overcrowded and outdated.

Since being at Midland High it is a typical high school..I think my only complaint would be the issues with the bathrooms sometimes but other then that it's a decent school.

Between the constant awful smell and the state of the school, is in desperate need of an update, tho that is likely to never happen. The teachers are all amazing, tho it is generally understaffed and the science department needs an overhall. . The conselor I had this year was mostly useless, but other conselors had better reviews. Never had much issues with the students.

The school is decent, at best, learning wise. However, the atmosphere is toxic. Football is a big deal, however, not much else is. The kids can be brutal and it is full of typical cliques. Drugs and mental health are an issue, which goes unchecked. Overall... not great.

We did basic, mindless book work. I was not taught to write a proper essay until I moved away. My Spanish 2 teac...
